Founded on 24 March 2011, Instagramers London forms part of the global Instagramers.com network of mobile photography communities using the Instagram app. We plan meetups and organise events, providing the London mobile photography community with opportunities to meet each other and take and share great photographs.

This week we are supporting @carersweek and #preparedtocare. Carers Week is a UK-wide annual awareness campaign. Their aim is to improve the lives of carers and the people they care for. We all know someone who cares for a family member be it an older relative or a disabled or sick family member or friend or neighbour who just needs someone to talk to. Carers week is helping the public to identify themselves as carers and access the support and advice and information they need. Carers Week celebrates and recognises the contribution of all of the UK’s six million unpaid carers.

It’s never a dull weekend in London, which is why we’d love to see what you’ve been up to, so make sure you tag #igerslondon on your shots so we can see! Today, Smithfield market was turned into a 5.1km cycle track, with a variety of different races through the day. @ady_rian was there to capture the fun, and in particular, the Penny Farthing Race! The event continued on into the night with the last race at 21:30, so be sure to check it out if you’re one of London many cycle enthusiasts! #iglondonnocturne (at Smithfield Nocturne)

It’s an amazing venue with multiple floors, multiple food and drink options and at £6 a ticket, it’s accessible no matter what your budget! Come and have a great Friday night with us.
