Founded on 24 March 2011, Instagramers London forms part of the global Instagramers.com network of mobile photography communities using the Instagram app. We plan meetups and organise events, providing the London mobile photography community with opportunities to meet each other and take and share great photographs.

Join us on Saturday the 18th of May at 2.30pm outside the Tate Modern to kick off a new @StickyGram Challenge.
We’re challenging you to “collect” as many of the iconic London images as possible (we’ll provide these on the day). Prizes will be given to the first person to complete all 9 locations, for the best use of StickyGram in a shot and for the best photo. Images should be tagged #stickygramtheworld and #london. We’ll then be challenging other Instagramers around the world to do the same with their city!
Also, there will be a drinks meet up afterwards, location tbc!

Here is a BBC article about the new law, The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act, that has recently received royal assent in the UK. There is lots of resource information in this article, including links to the Stop43 campaign and Orphan Works are not Free Images petition.

Dubbed “The Instagram Act” if you’re in the UK and upload photos to online photo sharing sites including Instagram, this news clearly has implications for you.
Read the articles, make your own judgement, and take the action you feel is appropriate.
